The year 2021 has shown a boom in yacht sales.

Regarding concrete data, the brokerage market climbed 45% in the first three months of 2021, compared to the same period the previous year, with brokerage sales in March alone rising 152% – buoyed by a wave of first-time buyers.

Regarding superyacht deliveries, 2021 has registered a great number of yachts built. In the past month, interesting and innovative megayachts have been delivered to their final Owners.

Find here below the main three superyachts which have been lately delivered.

Royal Huisman’s 58.5m – PHI

Royal Huisman has recently launched the 58-meter flagship yacht “PHI”, which has been the object of many photographers as she was undergoing sea trials in the North Sea. PHI is highly recognizable at eye, due to the electric blue hull and superstructure, and represented the largest superyacht in the world below the 500 gross tonnage (GT).

Designed to provide a low profile, angular lines and an extensive degree of outdoor living, PHI is also one of the most fuel-efficient superyachts.

Equipped with Van Oossanen Naval Architect’s XL Fast Displacement Hull Form, Phi is described by the shipyard as a “technically highly advanced vessel that sets new standards”. Her exterior design and interior layout is penned by Cor D. Rover.

Speaking about the design, Rover states: “Rather than just building a large yacht on a so-called shipyard ‘platform’ to enjoy the pleasures of being at sea, the owner of PHI wanted to build a yacht with a profound underlying story, a deep-rooted knowledge that runs through all aspects of the yacht, from her exterior appearance all the way to internal experience.”

The yacht boast a patented DEPP swimming pool, which reduces the amount of freshwater used by heating and treating the water when the pool is not in use. Covered by a flush pool cover, it can become a “sealed tank” at the touch of a button. PHI also features an “infinite wine cellar” located in the lower deck lobby.

Phi is optimised for a maximum speed of 22 knots, and is gyro-stabilised for added comfort. Accommodation on board is for a total of 12 guests, with a staff quarters for 11 crew.

Knowing for being a renowned shipyard in the sailing yachts world, Royal Huisman has not only launched PHI. The yard has also undergone other recent project, therefore shifting away from the tradition sailing category. This is the case of 52-meters motor yacht Project 406, currently in-build at Royal Huisman and ready to  become the world’s largest true sportfish yacht.

Oceanco’s Largest Dutch Built Superyacht 117m – PROJECT Y719

PROJECT Y719, launched by Oceanco, is currently the largest yacht under construction in the Netherlands with length of 117 meters.

Launched from the Dutch shipyard’s facility in Alblasserdam, the Netherlands, this herculean yacht was released from the build shed after spending the previous two years in the yard’s outfitting facility. This 117-meter superyacht will be the largest yacht by Oceanco and is currently the largest yacht under construction within the Netherlands.

Oceanco is one of the most renowned shipyards worldwide, with an impressive portfolio of superyachts – contributing to the advancements and innovation of yacht building. Some of the key yachts built by the yard are: 109-meters BRAVO EUGENIA (2018) known for its impressive length but also for the strong dedication to sustainability; 110-meters KOAS (2017) that held the title for largest yacht built in the Netherlands at the time of her delivery. Oceanco has also built the incredibly stunning sailing yacht BLACK PEARL, which became one of the largests and most ecological sailing yachts in the world.

The launch of PROJECT Y719 marks the first public appearance of the exterior of the vessel, designed in collaboration with Espen Øino. The interior design remains, for the moment, confidential. PY719 features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with volumes spread on five decks. The delivery is scheduled for 2021.
